   Shirley Schools is a K-12 public school that serves the communities of Fairfield Bay, Shirley and the surrounding areas. The enrollment is 420 students which allows students to receive more individualized attention.
   The high school is fully accredited and offers the 38 courses required by the state of Arkansas. In addition, the high school offers 4 Advanced Placement classes and 12 hours of Concurrent English through ASU Heber Springs. Our extra-curricular activities include FFA Show team and judging teams, FCCLA, FBLA, Gifted and Talented, Band, Choir, Basketball, Tennis, Golf, Baseball, Track, and Softball. Shirley School also houses the Shirley Alternative Learning Center for students who qualify for alternative education. The high school houses two computer labs for student use along with a library that is equipped with twelve computers for student use.
   Shirley Elementary School is “achieving” in both math and literacy. The teacher pupil ratio is very small with no classroom at the elementary having over 18 students. The elementary houses two computer labs for student use.
